May 17th, 2026 Game Summary
9:00 AM — Martin Middle School, East Providence, RI
Tigre Futebol Clube vs. RI Riptide
Two new teams to the 2026 season battled it out in East Providence. The game went back and forth for most of the match, but in the 23rd minute, Tigre’s #10 Saint Clair Soares scored the only goal of the game to make it 1–0. Both teams had chances after that, but strong defensive play on both sides kept the score unchanged. Tigre Futebol Clube defeated newcomer RI Riptide 1–0.
9:00 AM — Chafee Field, Cranston, RI
Cranston Portuguese vs. Intelegencia FC
This was a one-sided match, with the veterans from Intelegencia FC taking control early. #17 Jose Debrito scored in the 8th minute, followed by #6 Helio Monteiro in the 10th, and Debrito again in the 11th. Cranston Portuguese got on the board in the 27th minute through #12 Joseph Cidade, but Debrito completed his hat trick before halftime. Intelegencia continued to dominate in the second half, adding four more goals from Jailson Morais (60'), #21 Fernando Spencer (65'), #14 Jairson Jesus (80'), and Spencer again later in the match to seal an 8–1 victory.
9:00 AM — Galego Court, Pawtucket, RI
Santo Antão United vs. Morabeza SC
This was a classic rivalry match between two teams that know each other very well. It was a hard-fought, back-and-forth battle, with both sides competing intensely throughout the game. In the 28th minute, #13 Varlindo Estrela scored the decisive goal to give Morabeza SC a 1–0 victory.
11:00 AM — Fish Hill Soccer Field, Coventry, RI
PCFC Renegades vs. Mexico
This was an exciting match from start to finish. Mexico struck first in the 27th minute through #36 Abel Manzano. PCFC Renegades came out aggressively in the second half and turned the game around with goals from #23 Glenn McCrory (52') and #13 Keith Heyward (54'). Mexico responded in the 77th minute when #10 Javier Montoya (AKA Di Maria) scored, then added another two minutes later to put Mexico ahead 3–2. In the 89th minute, Keith Heyward scored his second goal of the match to rescue a 3–3 draw for PCFC Renegades. A thrilling back-and-forth contest.
11:00 AM — Lusitana Field, Cumberland, RI
Academica FC vs. Real Colombia
Another exciting game between two technically gifted teams. #13 Erick Lopez scored two quick first-half goals to give Real Colombia the lead. Academica responded with two goals from #9 Silvandro Lopes to level the match, before #5 Artur Depina scored the game-winner to give Academica FC the victory.
Another fantastic and competitive week of soccer.
